Read the room, one situation at a time.

eCue is a quiet place to practise noticing social cues and picking a response that actually fits the moment. No scores, no streaks, no pressure to perform.

Coming to the App Store iPhone, iOS 17 and later.

How it works

Every round is one ordinary situation and four things you could genuinely say. You pick the one you would actually use.

1

Notice the cue

A friend checks the time twice but keeps asking questions. Start with what you could see or hear, before deciding what it means.

2

Choose a response

Four concrete lines, not an abstract menu. You pick the one that sounds like you, in the words you would really use.

3

See how they compare

Every option is ranked by how well it fits the evidence, with the trade-off that placed it there. Nothing is simply wrong.

Nothing you do here leaves your phone

This is an app about moments you might feel unsure in. That only works if it is genuinely yours, so eCue is built with no way to collect anything in the first place.

  • No account. There is nothing to sign up for and no profile to create.
  • No analytics. Your answers, progress and reflections are never measured or reported.
  • No network requests. The app contains no code that sends data anywhere, to us or to anyone else.
  • No third-party SDKs. Nothing from an advertiser, tracker or analytics vendor is embedded in the app.
  • Your writing stays put. Reflections are saved on your device and are never uploaded.

What eCue is not

Being clear about this matters more than being persuasive.

Not therapy

eCue is a practice tool, not treatment, diagnosis or clinical advice. If you are struggling, a qualified professional is the right place to go.

Not a rulebook

People differ, and context changes what fits. eCue ranks responses by how well they suit the evidence, never by what is correct.

Not built to hook you

No streaks to protect, no notifications guilting you back, no score to chase. Practice comes back on its own gentle schedule.
