Privacy Policy

Who this is from

eCue is an iPhone app made and operated by the independent developer of eCue. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that developer, and "you" means the person using the app. You can reach us any time at hello@ecueapp.com.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store or transmit personal information about you. This is not a policy choice we ask you to trust: the app contains no code that sends data anywhere, no analytics or crash-reporting service, no advertising or tracking software, and no third-party libraries of any kind.

There is no account to create and no sign-in, so we never learn your name, your email address or anything else that identifies you.

What is stored on your device

So the app can remember where you are, the following is saved locally on your iPhone and never sent to us:

• Which lessons you have finished.
• Which practice scenarios you have answered, and when they are next due.
• Anything you type into an optional reflection prompt.
• Small settings, such as whether you have seen the welcome screen.

All of it lives inside the app's own storage on your device. Deleting eCue removes it. We cannot see it, restore it, or recover it for you.

Backups

If you back your iPhone up to iCloud or to a computer, that backup may include eCue's local data, in the same way it includes data from your other apps. Those backups are handled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy, not by us, and we have no access to them.

Subscriptions and Apple

If eCue offers a paid subscription, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment card, billing address or Apple Account details. The app asks Apple only whether a valid subscription is currently active, and that answer stays on your device.

Apple separately collects information about App Store downloads and purchases, and provides developers with aggregated, non-identifying sales and usage reports. We cannot identify an individual person from those reports. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

This website

This site is deliberately plain. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies, so visiting it does not share your browsing with any third party. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard server request information such as IP addresses for security and reliability, as any web host must.

Your rights

Privacy laws including the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California give you rights to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to look up, hand over, correct or delete, and nothing for us to sell or share. We have never sold or shared personal information, and we have no plans to.

The data on your device is entirely under your control. Deleting the app erases it.

Children

eCue is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a future version of eCue ever collected anything, we would say so here plainly and ask for your consent in the app first.
